BRENHAM CITY COUNCIL BUDGET WORKSHOPS TO BEGIN

The Brenham City Council has a pair of budget workshops scheduled for Monday and Tuesday.

The workshops will be for the proposed budget for the 2023-2024 fiscal year. On both days, council members are going to discuss Utility Funds, the General Fund, and Special Revenue Funds.

Prior to Monday’s meeting, the Council will meet in regular session to take up a handful of items.

They are scheduled to discuss the renewal of the City’s various forms of insurance with the Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool.

Council members will also possibly act on a resolution related to the creation of an employee benefit trust for the City of Brenham.

They are expected to appoint Brenham Animal Services Manager Megan Gray as the Local Rabies Control Authority.

The final agenda item on the regular session is to approve a contract with AJR Media Group related to advertising for the City of Brenham’s Tourism and Marketing Department.

AJR Media Group handles advertising for publications such as the Texas State Travel Guide, Texas Highways Magazine, Texas Events Calendar, TexasHighways.com, and TourTexas.com.

The contract is for $61,569.86.

The Brenham City Council will meet on Monday and Tuesday at 8:30am both days in Council Chambers at the Brenham City Hall.
