SETH SPIVEY RETURNING TO BRENHAM BASEBALL

Seth Spivey (Brenham Cub Baseball)

Former Brenham Cub Seth Spivey is coming back home.

It was announced on Twitter/X that Spivey will be joining the Cub Baseball Coaching Staff as a Varsity Assistant.

Spivey was a catcher on the 2010 State Championship Team. That season, he had a .344 batting average, a .474 on base percentage, scored 54 runs, had 12 doubles, 5 home runs, and 36 RBIs. He received multiple honors including being named All State.

Spivey then went on to two years at Angelina College and two years at Abilene Christian University. In 2014, he was drafted in the 10th round by the Texas Rangers.

After a five-year minor league baseball career, he returned to Angelina College as an assistant baseball coach and was also their recruiting coordinator.

He replaces Steve Hecker, who left to go to Clear Falls High School.
