NAVASOTA WOMAN KILLED IN GRIMES CO. CRASH
A Navasota woman was killed Thursday in a multi-vehicle accident on State Highway 249 in Grimes County.
DPS reports that shortly after 9:45 a.m., a 2021 Ford F-250 was traveling northbound on SH 249, near County Road 304, when it drove onto the wrong side of the road and struck a southbound 2000 International 18-wheeler. The International then veered into the northbound lanes and struck a 2020 BMW X5 head-on.
The driver of the BMW, 22-year-old Sydney Arthur, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the International was treated at Tomball Regional after suffering minor injuries. The driver of the Ford was not injured.
DPS says it cannot release further information at this time, pending its ongoing investigation.
