BRENHAM SCHOOL BOARD TO CONDUCT CANDIDATE INTERVIEWS FOR SUPT. NEXT WEEK
The Brenham School Board will hold a series of meetings next week to hold interviews with applicants for Brenham ISD’s superintendent position.
Trustees will meet in executive session on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Brenham ISD Administration Office.
The board is interviewing five candidates for the role.
No action will be taken until the board’s meeting on Wednesday, when it will potentially decide on approving a number of candidates to conduct follow-up interviews with.
The next stage of interviews would take place between November 13-15. A vote by trustees on a finalist is expected to come on Friday, November 17th, with the official hiring scheduled for Monday, December 11th.
Currently, Clay Gillentine is serving as acting school superintendent following the departure of Dr. Tylor Chaplin, who originally planned to retire at the end of next month but left the position sooner than announced.
