CAR WASH, OPHTHALMOLOGY PRACTICE TOP BRENHAM BUILDING PERMITS FOR OCTOBER

  

A new car wash and an ophthalmology practice led the month of October for building permits issued by the City of Brenham.

Two permits totaling $2,153,220 were granted to Prodel Corporation for the construction of Squeaky Clean Car Wash at 1604 Highway 105 and the demolition of a residence in the 800 block of Brown Street.

The car wash is expanding to Brenham from its first location in Navasota, which opened in January 2021, according to the company’s website

Another permit for $1.4 million was issued to Tellepsen Builders for the tenant buildout of Retina Consultants of Texas, located at 2620 Becker Drive inside the Mecom Plaza shopping center.

Per the business website, the practice has a location inside the Bluebonnet shopping center at 2620 Highway 36 South. 

Nine new homes were permitted in October for $1,359,636.  So far this year, 102 new homes have been permitted for $13,618,712. 

Through the month of October, 43 permits were issued for $6,914,504.  That compares to 63 permits for $13,660,484 in October 2022.

To this point in 2023, the city has granted 343 permits for $37,022,061, which falls below the $53,277,950 on 381 permits through this timeframe a year ago.
