ONE DEAD AFTER CRASH NEAR NAVASOTA

  

DPS troopers are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred Monday afternoon, west of Navasota.

DPS reports that around 2:45 p.m., a 2019 Hyundai Elantra was stopped at the intersection of Highway 105 and County Road 423 and was preparing to turn onto Highway 105.  A 2018 Dodge Ram pickup was traveling eastbound on Highway 105 when the Hyundai turned in front of the Dodge.

The driver of the Hyundai, 21-year-old Kylie Morgan of Canyon Lake, was transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Navasota, where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.

The driver and passenger of the Dodge were not injured.

The accident remains under DPS investigation.
