BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO FOUR CALLS ON FRIDAY

The Brenham Fire Department responded to four calls, which included three automobile accidents, and an illegal burning on Friday.

Brenham Firefighters were dispatched to the 2600 Block of Mustang Road at 8:55am. A BFD unit arrived on the location to find a two-vehicle accident. Firefighters checked for fluids and injuries.  No fluids were leaking, so they returned to service.

Brenham Firefighters were next sent to another accident on Highway 290 West at Old Mill Creek Road at 4:15pm.  Like the previous call, they checked for fluids and injuries.  No fluids were leaking, so they returned to service.

The Brenham Fire Department was later sent to a residence in the 300 block of West Bryan Street at 7:05pm for a report of illegal burning.  BFD units arrived on the scene and found a homeowner was doing some burning in the backyard.  The homeowner was informed that there is no burning allowed in the city limits, and so the fire had to be extinguished.

Their final call came in at 11:45pm.  Firefighters responded to a three-vehicle accident on the 3400 block of Highway 105. At this location, there were fluids leaking, so BFD members used dry absorbent on the spill, and cleaned the roadway off.
