CALDWELL NATIVE RETIRING FROM TEXAS A&M POLICE
A Caldwell native is officially retiring tomorrow (Sunday) after 35 years of service with the Texas A&M University Police Department.
Lieutenant Allan Baron is retiring from a law enforcement career that began in 1988.
Baron is a 2000 graduate of Texas A&M, as well as a graduate of the 230th session of the FBI National Academy.
In 2001, he was a recipient of the Texas A&M University President’s Meritorius Service Award.
Baron spent many years in the department’s Crime Prevention Unit where he was recognized in 2008 by the Texas Crime Prevention Association as one of the state’s outstanding crime prevention managers.
He has served in various leadership roles in his career, and achieved the rank of lieutenant in 2012.
For the past six years, Baron has served as the department’s Personnel, Recruiting, and Training Lieutenant.
Texas A&M Police Chief J. Mike Johnson wished Baron well in the next stage of life saying that his dependability, service, and leadership were invaluable to the department, and the Aggie community.
