TWO CALLS THURSDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

  

The Brenham Fire Department responded to a pair of calls on Thursday.

Shortly after 1 p.m., the department was dispatched to the 600 block of West First Street for a transportation incident.  Units arrived on location to find a two-vehicle accident.  BFD members helped EMS with patient care before returning to service.  The extent of any injuries is unknown. 

Just before 7:15 p.m., firefighters went to the 1100 block of South Chappell Hill Street for a gas leak.  They arrived along with the City of Brenham Gas Department to discover a small gas leak around the meter.  After the gas leak was fixed, units returned to the station.
