CUBETTE SOFTBALL HOLDS SUCCESSFUL RIBEYE DINNER AND AUCTION
Hundreds gathered at the Fireman’s Training Center on Saturday night for the 6th Annual Brenham Cubette Softball Ribeye Dinner and Auction Fundraiser.
Former Cubette Shae Harris was the guest speaker for the evening, while KWHI's Doug Brown had the chance to introduce the players for the upcoming season.
They also honored the six seniors on the team: Annie Beckendorf, Nevaeh Holmes, Della Jasinski, Kaylie Rodriguez, Kaylyn Rodriguez, and Halle Scheel.
33 corporate tables were sold for the event at a cost of $500 each, which totals out to $16,500.
They also raised money with a live auction. Cattleman’s Supply made the biggest purchases of night. They bought two rifles for $2,700 each. The Cubettes also raised money through the donations for their silent auction and prize drawings.
The money raised goes towards helping to cover expenses for the upcoming season including field improvement, equipment, uniforms, and team building. Coach Katie Roberts also announced that they will be looking to added another batting cage at the ballpark as well.
The Cubette Softball season begins on Tuesday, February 13, when they host the Caldwell Lady Hornets at Alumni Field beginning at 6:30pm (6:05pm pregame on KWHI).
