FIVE ARRESTED SATURDAY
Five people were arrested Saturday by Brenham Police.
They report that Saturday afternoon at 3:30, Officers responded to 700 block of Matilda Street in reference to an active disturbance. Upon arrival, investigation revealed that Etlyn Alicia Rivera, 28 of Brenham, and Betty Yolanda Rapalo, 48 of Brenham, were involved in a physical altercation. Both Rapalo and Rivera were placed in custody for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member.
Then Saturday afternoon at 5:50, Officers responded to an address located in the 200 block of Highway 290 West in reference to a intoxicated person. Initial Investigation revealed Mark Gregory Joswiak, 59 of Brenham, was intoxicated in a public place. Joswiak was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail.
Then Saturday evening at 6:15, Officers responded to Old Independence Road at East Blue Bell Road in reference to a suspicious person. Investigation revealed Aldonia Marie Johnson threw an object at a vehicle causing damage. Johnson, 57 of Brenham, was placed under arrest for Criminal Mischief between $100 and $750, and Public Intoxication. Johnson was transported to the Washington County Jail where she was booked in.
Then Saturday evening at 8:25, Sergeant Jimmy Ha initiated a traffic stop near the 1300 block of Prairie Lea Street. The driver, Victor Manuel Pena, 22 of Brenham, was taken into custody for two active warrants issued out of Washington County Court at Law; Possession of Marijuana and Driving While Intoxicated with a blood alcohol level greater than .15. Pena was transported to the Washington County Jail where he was booked in.
My concern is that apparently MS Johnson has a problem and has been endangering others for a while, but what do we do. We keep locking her up in jail instead of contacting mhmr or whoever you would call and get this lady some real help
