BURTON BETA CLUB BRINGS HOME WINS

  

The Burton Beta Club recently competed in the state competition, competing against much larger schools.  They brought home many first and second place victories such as Evelyn Archibeque who won a 1st place in Color Photography and 2nd place in Speech and Waylon Archibeque who won a 1st place in Woodworking.  They were recognized by their peers Tuesday morning with an assembly in the gym at Burton Elementary School.  Several of the students will be at the National Beta Convention in Savannah, Georgia this summer.

● Matthais Countouriotis - 6th grade Math-5th Place

● Colin Purvis - Technology Elementary-3rd place

Ian Spahn - 3rd Place Drawing

● Meredith Odom - 3rd place quilling

● Ellie Archibeque - 3-D design-2nd place

● Liam Diehl - 2nd Place Hand Drawn Anime

● Waylon Archibeque - 1st Place Woodworking

● Everleigh Matthies - 2nd place Recyclable Art, Texas Elementary Beta President

● Aubri Sullivan - 5th place-Spelling bee

● Aaron Thaler, Mason Kalhkake, Rylan Draehn, and Meri Odom - 3rd Place Engineering

● Everett Tiedt, Layton Meyer, Eli Merkley, Colin Purvis, and Luke Rouse - 2nd Place Robotics & 2nd Place Campaign Skit
