BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO TWO CALLS OVER WEEKEND

  

The Brenham Fire Department responded to two calls over the weekend. 

Firefighters were dispatched to the 2100 Block of Timberline Court for a report of gas inside the home on Saturday morning at 9:15am.

BFD units arrived on a location and found the homeowner outside advising them that she turned the stove off when she arrived. 

The stove knob was accidentally hit when the homeowner left the house.

BFD members ventilated the house and returned to service.

The second call came in Sunday morning just after 4:30am. 

BFD Units responded to the intersection of U.S. Highway 290 East and Blue Bell Road for a traffic accident. 

Firefighters arrived on location to find a two-vehicle accident with fluids leaking. 

They used dry absorbent to clean up the fluid spill, and they also helped EMS with patient care.

BFD units cleared the scene once all the vehicles were removed from the roadway.
