BRENHAM MAN CHARGED WITH DWI AFTER ACCIDENT SENDING ONE TO HOSPITAL
A Brenham man faces a DWI charge after a crash west of Brenham Thursday evening that led to one person being transported to the hospital.
DPS reports that just before 6 p.m., a 2006 Dodge Ram was in the center turn lane on Highway 290, facing westbound to turn onto Lange Lake Road.
According to DPS, the Dodge failed to yield the right of way and collided with a 2018 Ford F-350 traveling eastbound on Highway 290.
The driver of the Ford was transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Brenham with suspected minor injuries.
The driver of the Dodge, 77-year-old Robert Ladewig, was taken into custody by DPS for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the Washington County Jail.
