GIDDINGS MAN CHARGED IN FATAL STABBING

  

A Giddings man has been charged with murder after a stabbing on Friday. 

The Giddings Police Department responded to a residence in the 400 block of Biscayne Street for a report of a stabbing.  Officers arrived and found a person dead inside the home. 

Multiple agencies investigated, including detectives and officers with the Giddings Police Department, investigators with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the Lee County Precinct 2 Constable’s Office, and the Texas Rangers.

During investigation, a warrant was obtained for the arrest of 31-year-old Jalen Parks on a charge of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.  He was arrested in Harris County on the Lee County warrant and brought to the Lee County Jail.

Parks was charged on Saturday with first degree felony murder. 

Investigation is ongoing.  Police have not yet released the name of the victim.
