SECOND VICTIM DIES AFTER BRENHAM DPS OFFICE CRASH

A second victim has died from injuries sustained during the crash into Brenham’s DPS Office on April 12th.

DPS released a social media post this (Monday) afternoon confirming the passing of 63-year-old Cheryl Turner of Brenham.

Turner was among the three victims who suffered major injuries after a stolen 18-wheeler drove into the building.  78-year-old Bobby Huff of Giddings died at the hospital that day, while another remains hospitalized.  Another three people were treated and released from Baylor Scott & White in Brenham, and eight people were treated at the scene.

The suspect in the incident, 42-year-old Clenard Parker of Chappell Hill, remains in custody at the Washington County Jail.  Last week, DPS announced that additional charges, including murder, had been filed against him

Parker’s bond is currently set at $4,050,000.
