BRENHAM ISD HOLDS TEACHER APPRECIATION

  

The Brenham School District held their teacher appreciation and awards luncheon Friday afternoon at Silver Wings Ballroom.  This year’s event was a collaboration between Brenham ISD and the Let Our Teachers Teach group.  Awarded the District Substitute Teacher award was Sunne Wheaton.  Awarded the District wide Para-Professional of the Year was Ashlee Niemeyer.  Awarded the District wide Teacher of the Year was Kassey Wiesepape.  Retiring from the school District after 50 years of service is Lorena Schroder.  Others were recognized for their service to the district 5 years through 30 years.

Awarded Para-Professional of the Year from the Early Childhood Learning Center was Cassie Desern, and teacher of the year from the ECLC was Amanda Symington.  Earning the Award for Para of the year from Brenham Elementary was Rozetta Green and Teacher of the year from Brenham Elementary was Tabita Williams.  From Alton Elementary School, the Award for Para of the year went to Michelle Janner, and the Teacher of the year went to Heather Hinze.  For Krause Elementary School, the Award for Para of the year went to Coach T and the Teacher of the year went to Hanna Bosse.  

For Brenham Middle School, the Award for Para of the year went to Letty Bustos and Teacher of the Year went to Kassey Wiesepape.  For Brenham Jr. High, the Award for Para of the year went to Mattie Barnes and the Teacher of the Year went to Bradon Williams.  For Brenham High School, the Award for Para of the year went to Ashley Niemeyer and the Teacher of the year went to Shelby Jones.

  1. Congratulations to all the honorees. But a special shout out and recognition to Ms. LaCarla Duvall. She has TAUGHT in BISD for 41 years at the same campus, Brenham Elementary. You have seen many students, staff, and administration come and go but, Ms. Duvall, your dedication and service to the same campus for all 41 years are remarkable and very commendable. Thanks for all you’ve done for the students and staff of BISD. Blessings to you and enjoy your retirement!
