ONE FLOWN TO HOSPITAL AFTER SHOOTING WEDNESDAY IN NAVASOTA

  

One person was hospitalized with serious injuries after a shooting Wednesday night in Navasota.

Navasota police responded around 11 p.m. to the St. Joseph Health Grimes Hospital for a male victim wounded by gunfire.

Through their investigation, officers found that the man was shot in the 800 block of East McAlpine Street and transported to the hospital by a family member.

The victim was then airlifted to St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Bryan.

Police collected evidence at the scene of the shooting and continue to investigate the incident.  They ask anyone who may have information to contact the Navasota Police Department at 936-825-6124 or Grimes County Crime Stoppers at 936-873-2000.
