WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO BRING BACK PECAN GLEN ITEMS

Washington County Commissioners will revisit items for the Pecan Glen Road District on Tuesday.

At their past meeting, commissioners, acting as the road district and not as the commissioners court, approved an amendment to the Pecan Glen road improvement agreement pertaining to chip sealing of the road base.  However, they only had the item listed under the road district portion of the meeting and not during the commissioners court portion, so they must bring it back for full approval.

After amending the agreement, commissioners will vote on adding Pecan Glen Road, Desirable Circle, Success Court and Stuart Road, part of the Pecan Glen subdivision in Precinct 4, to the county road system.

In other business, commissioners will look to extend the disaster declaration issued on July 9th by County Judge John Durrenberger in connection to Hurricane Beryl.  The initial declaration will expire after seven days unless extended.

The court will also:

  • Act on entering into negotiations for delinquent tax services.
  • Vote on pay rates for new jail transport deputies.
  • Consider a subdivision variance request for a land division fronting Highway 290 West and Memory Lane in Precinct 4, consisting of 12.29 acres.
  • Renew bonds for Elections Administrator Carol Jackson and Reserve Deputy Sheriff Craig Wiesepape.

Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
