ARRESTS MADE SUNDAY FOR THEFT, POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, MARIJUANA POSSESSION
A Navasota man is in custody after his arrest Sunday afternoon on a theft charge out of Brenham.
At 1 p.m., Brenham police responded to the 2800 block of Wood Ridge Boulevard in reference to a theft. DPS Troopers observed the vehicle linked to the incident and stopped it in Waller County. The driver, 41-year-old Detrick Dewayne Nelms, was arrested for Theft of Property $2,500 – $30,000 and transported to the Washington County Jail.
Also on Sunday, police responded shortly before 5:15 a.m. to a welfare concern in the 1400 block of South Jackson Street. A vehicle was found high-centered on a concrete curb, with a male identified as 31-year-old Edgar Antonio Issaguirre-Hernandez of Honduras walking around the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, police reported finding a small baggie containing suspected cocaine residue. He was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
At 8:45 a.m., Sergeant Jimmy Ha made a traffic stop near the 2100 block of Highway 290 West. Marijuana was found in the vehicle during a search. The driver, 32-year-old Victor Manuel Saldana of Houston, was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana under 2oz.
