BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO TWO WRECKS

The Brenham Fire Department responded to a pair of traffic crashes during the overnight hours.

The first call came in at 10:30pm last (Friday) night. Firefighters were dispatched to the 1800 Block of Longwood Drive where they found a two-vehicle accident with no entrapment.

BFD members did not find any fluids leaking.  They remained on scene to assist with traffic control until the roadway was back open in both directions.

Once the roadway was re-opened, they returned to the station.

The second call came in at 12:40am this (Saturday) morning. Brenham Firefighters went to the scene of a two-vehicle accident at 2305 South Market Street.

There was no entrapment, however, firefighters did have to clean up oil that was leaking from one of the vehicles involved, and also assisted with traffic control.

They later returned to the station after being released from the scene by the Brenham Police Department.
