NAVASOTA SOUNDS OF SUMMER CONCERT SERIES CLOSES OUT FRIDAY

  

The City of Navasota is set to host the last of this year’s Sounds of Summer concerts tomorrow (Friday) night.

The soulful sounds of the Brown Sugar Band will fill downtown Navasota starting at 7 p.m. on the grounds of Navasota City Hall.  The group will entertain with funk, R&B and old school rock ‘n roll.

The concert is free to attend.  Food and drink vendors will be onsite, and there will be kids’ activities like inflatable water slides.  Lawn chairs and coolers are encouraged.

East McAlpine Street will be closed from La Salle Street to Farquhar Street beginning at 4 p.m. tomorrow.  A portion of Farquhar Street will also be closed.  The roads will reopen at approximately 10 p.m.
