CUBETTES WIN TWO, DROP ONE ON DAY TWO OF WARRIOR SHOWCASE

The Brenham Cubettes played in three more pool play matches yesterday (Friday) at the Warrior Showcase Tournament at Cedar Ridge High School.

In the first match, the Cubettes defeated Leander Glenn in two straight sets, 25-23 and 25-23. Lainie Bolcerek led the offense with six kills and three aces. Aubrey Morrison led the defense with eight digs.  Brenham also got 11 assists from Jordan Graham and 10 assists from Brinley Benson.

In the second match, the Cubettes swept Taylor High School in two straight sets, 25-14 and 25-19, to get their second victory of the day.

However, in the third match, Brenham lost to Cedar Ridge 25-22 and 25-22.

Next up, the Cubettes will be taking part in bracket play, which starts this (Saturday) morning. Brenham is in the Bronze Bracket, where they will play Hutto beginning at 9am.
