THREE CALLS MONDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

The Brenham Fire Department responded to three calls on Monday.

At 9:30 a.m., the department was dispatched to a residence in the 2000 block of FM 389 for a report of a fire alarm sounding.  Units arrived on location to find nothing showing from the exterior of the building.  They entered the home and found the alarm panel going off, so they helped the homeowner reset the system before returning to service.  Nothing else was found.

Shortly after 12:30 p.m., firefighters were called out to a transportation incident in the 1100 block of Highway 290 West.  They made it to the scene and found a single vehicle that hit a building.  The driver was not hurt and no fluids were found, so the department cleared the scene.

At 5:45 p.m., BFD members went out to Leroy Dreyer Field, 1007 Walter Schwartz Way on the Blinn campus, for a report of a smoke smell.  Nothing was showing from the exterior, and no source was discovered after a check of all A/C units and lights in the area.  Firefighters walked through with maintenance employees and could not find anything, so the fire department turned the scene over to the maintenance department.
