CHARLES MOSER RETIRES FROM BLINN BOARD, RICHARD O’MALLEY APPOINTED TO FILL SEAT
Blinn College trustee Charles Moser has announced his retirement from the board.
At the end of Tuesday’s board meeting, Moser announced that it would be his final session as a trustee after nine years of service. Moser joined the board in 2015 and has served both as a board chair and as a board secretary.
Moser told KWHI last week that he felt it was a good time to step aside and expressed confidence in the rest of the board moving forward.
During Moser’s time on the board, Blinn partnered with Texas A&M University as a member of the RELLIS Academic Alliance at Texas A&M RELLIS. It also modernized campus facilities and launched new academic, workforce and athletic programs.
Richard O’Malley was appointed to fill the At-Large Position 1 seat through the remainder of Moser’s term, which expires in May 2025. O’Malley retired in January after a 16-year career with Blinn, serving most recently as the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Facilities, Planning and Construction.
Thank you, Mr. Moser for your service to Blinn College.
I do hope that you are leaving on your own accord. You have been asking tough questions that Queen Mary didn’t like, and we all know what happens when she is questioned. We have seen it too many times.
Thank you Mr. Moser for your service to Blinn College. You truly have been a mentor and friend, and “Blinn is Better” because of your service.
