An all-call was issued for fire departments across the county, with assistance coming from Austin County as well.  Also responding were the Brenham Police Department, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Washington County EMS and the Washington County Office of Emergency Management.

According to Donovan, 58 firefighters and 12 apparatuses were on site.  The scene was under control by around 8:30 p.m., and work then began to remove debris and start determining how the incident started.  The last units cleared the scene at 1 a.m. today (Thursday), though one unit remained on location for fire watch.

A total of 27 RVs of varying types were destroyed, and six more were damaged by the heat.  One storage building was lost.  There were no injuries.

Donovan praised the collaboration between all of the responding agencies in preventing further loss.

Investigation will be led by Brenham Fire Marshal Steven Loving with assistance from three State Fire Marshal’s Office investigators.
