The accreditation is a mark of distinction awarded to public libraries that meet or exceed established standards of excellence in areas such as service, accessibility, resource availability and community engagement.

City of Navasota Community Services Director Tiffany Byers said this recognition “is a testament to our staff’s hard work and dedication to ensuring that the library continues to serve as a vital resource for our community.”  She said, “We remain committed to expanding our services and programs to meet the evolving needs of Navasota’s residents.”

The City says with the accreditation, the library will have access to increased funding opportunities, enhanced library resources and continued support from the TSLAC.  It also says the achievement ensures that the library remains a central hub for educational programs, literacy initiatives and technology services in Navasota.
