THE BARNHILL CENTER ANNOUNCES 100TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON OF ENTERTAINMENT
The Barnhill Center at Historic Simon Theatre in downtown Brenham has announced its 2025 season of performances, which will mark a century since the historic venue first opened.
The 100th anniversary year will kick off with a birthday celebration on January 25th. The event will include “A Century of Simon” history exhibit; a Model A car display; a showing of “The Merry Widow”, the first movie ever shown at the Simon; a vintage photo booth with costume accessories; birthday cake; and a vaudeville show in the Hasskarl Auditorium.
The show will feature acts like the Savoy Rose Jazz Band, world champion juggler David DiMuzio, Dance Force Productions and the Hall and Brass Comedy Team. Patrons are invited to wear Roaring 20’s attire.
As for the rest of next year’s lineup, the season will include music from the Roaring 20’s and the Big Band Era, along with a traditional assortment of music from multiple genres.
