CHAPPELL HILL HOSTING SCARECROW FESTIVAL SATURDAY, SUNDAY

Thousands are expected to make their way to Chappell Hill this weekend for the 47th Annual Scarecrow Festival.

The Chappell Hill community will be home tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday to over 250 juried exhibitors and vendors selling home décor, clothing and accessories, beauty products, and all kinds of food, drinks and snacks.  There will also be live music and fun for the kids, like a pumpkin patch and train rides.

Festival hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Tomorrow’s music lineup will have Chicken Live at a Bar, Jimmy Green, Dylan Rhys and Suzanne’s Band.  On Sunday, Jimmy Green and Scott Grieger will perform.

The festival is free to enter.  Parking is $10 and is located on FM 1155, just north of its intersection with Highway 290.

Proceeds from the festival support the Chappell Hill Historical Society in preserving Chappell Hill’s heritage and historic buildings.
