BURTON SCHOOL BOARD TO MEET ON MONDAY

  

The Burton School Board is holding its regular monthly meeting this Monday night.

Superintendent Vikki Curry will be presenting her report which includes recognizing Washington County Fair participants and staff, the 2023-2024 Title III ESL Program Evaluation Report, an update on the construction project, and the intruder detection audit report.

Among the action items is the possible approval of a fuel contract with CR Texas. The contract was discussed last month by the board, but no action was taken.

Another item is to consider the approval of a resolution to retain legal counsel regarding the construction project.

They will also vote on whether or not to approve the School Health Advisory Council Wellness Policy.

In addition to that, Board members are scheduled to meet in executive session to discuss personnel, the implementation of security personnel or devices, and real estate property.

The meeting is schedule to reconvene in open session to take action on employment including hiring, offering contracts to professional staff, notice of retirements, reassignments, and notice of previously accepted resignations by the Superintendent.

The Burton School Board meets Monday at 6pm in the Burton ISD Cafeteria.
