TEXAS MOMS FOR AMERICA LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS

Texas Moms for America are partnering with several organizations to deliver needed supplies to hurricane victims in Eastern Tennessee, Western North Carolina, and areas of South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida as soon as possible.

They are looking for volunteers in Brenham to help with the collection and storage of donated items.

Items that they are looking to collect include: non-perishable food for families and pets, water, personal hygiene items, diapers, wipes, baby formula, toddler food, toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, cleaning supplies, big trash cans and bags, basic clothing items, work gloves and boots, towels, bedding, battery powered lighting, and tools.

There is going to be a donation drop-off this coming Wednesday and Thursday at Faith Mission’s Higgins Branch South parking lot on Market Street.

Items may be dropped off from 10am-6pm on either day.

Then on Friday, an “America’s Wall of Honor” truck will be in Brenham filling up the collected items and adding them to donations from counties across Texas to ship to disaster areas.

Brannon Industrial Group is providing an 18-wheeler to store the donation items until the “America’s Wall of Honor” truck arrives.

  1. Here’s a thought…. How about Higgins Branch donate everything in the Store? It has all been donated to them. Won’t cost anything. With as much stuff that gets donated to them on a daily basis, it wouldn’t hurt the business at all to literally help those in need that have lost everything.
