BURTON HIGH SCHOOL HOMECOMING PARADE WEDNESDAY
Burton High School will continue its homecoming festivities tonight (Wednesday) with the annual parade through downtown Burton.
The parade begins at 6 p.m. and will have a theme of “Life is a Movie”. Entries will be able to decorate by using their favorite movie theme or following along with the theme from the Homecoming Dance, “The Great Gatsby”.
Participants will start from the elementary school parking lot, heading down Main Street before turning onto Texas Street and again onto Brazos Street. The parade will then turn onto Cedar Street and back onto Main Street.
The Burton Panthers will host the Iola Bulldogs for the homecoming football game on Friday at the new Panther Stadium, with kickoff at 7 p.m. Senior Night ceremonies will begin at 6:30 p.m., and homecoming royalty will be crowned at halftime. A special invitation is extended to the Burton High School Classes of 2023 and 2024.
