“Fruitcakes”, written by Julian Wiles and directed by Jimmy Phillips, will play on the Main Stage each weekend through December 22nd

“Fruitcakes” tells the story of Jamie, a runaway kid who has come as far as his money will take him.  He initially thinks the inhabitants of his new town are “nuttier than fruitcakes,” but he eventually comes to admire, appreciate and adore this crazy little town.

Joining Jamie are a batch of fruitcakes, three dozen Christmas trees, 10,000 outdoor Christmas lights, a chicken pox epidemic, two southern spinsters, an estranged old man, a lost cat named Tutti Frutti and a Christmas hog named Buster.

Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays, 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. on Sundays.  Tomorrow’s preview performance will include a talk-back with the cast and crew after the show.
