WASHINGTON CO. TOYS FOR TOTS SUPPORTING NEARLY 1,000 CHILDREN
Organizers for the Washington County Toys for Tots Toy Drive are thanking the community for their support after a “very successful” collection event on Sunday.
Toys for Tots and first responders teamed up for the annual Lights and Sirens toy drive at the Fireman’s Training Center, packing emergency vehicles full of toys to give to children this holiday season.
Local Toys for Tots coordinator Amanda Stolz says in spite of the rainy weather on Sunday, they received more toys this year than any other Lights and Sirens event.
Numerous Washington County businesses served as drop-off locations for toy drive donations leading up to Sunday’s event.
Stolz says Toys for Tots will be able to serve almost 400 families and approximately 986 children. She says the backing of local businesses, first responders and residents make this all possible.
