COMMISSIONERS HAVE A LIGHT AGENDA FOR FIRST MEETING OF 2025
The Washington County Commissioners Court has a light agenda for their first meeting of the year on Tuesday.
The Commissioners will be discussing a notice of reappointment of Shawna Hollis to the position of Auditor for Washington County.
The notice was sent to the Commissioners by 21st District Court Judge Carson Campbell and outgoing 335th District Court Judge Reva Towslee Corbett.
The notice says that Hollis meets all the qualifications of the job, and that it is in the best interests of the county to reappointment her.
Meanwhile, among the action items on the agenda is to approve a bond for Hollis, a contract with attorney Scott Ballard for representation of indigent defendants, and the approval of the County’s accounts payable.
The Washington County Commissioners Court meets Tuesday at 9am at the Washington County Courthouse.
