BRENHAM FIRE DEPT. CALLED OUT TO TWO ACCIDENTS BETWEEN THURSDAY, EARLY FRIDAY

The Brenham Fire Department responded to two calls Thursday afternoon and one early this (Friday) morning.

Shortly after 1:30 p.m. Thursday, firefighters were dispatched to Highway 290 West and Highway 36 South for a report of a transportation incident.  They arrived on location to find a two-vehicle accident with no injuries.  After checking for fluids and finding none, the department returned to service.

Around 6:15 p.m., Brenham and Berlin units were called out to a report of a grass fire in the 1100 block of Lange Lake Road.  Berlin volunteers made location to find a controlled burn, so they cancelled the Brenham department’s response.

A few minutes after 3:15 a.m. today, BFD members went out to a transportation incident at Old Chappell Hill Road and South Blue Bell Road.  They found a two-vehicle accident with no injuries.  Personnel cleared the roadway of debris, returning to the station once the roadway was back open.
