ACCIDENT, FIRE ALARM AMONG THREE CALLS FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT. THURSDAY
The Brenham Fire Department responded to three calls on Thursday.
At 10:15 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to the 1900 block of South Market Street for a report of a transportation incident with entrapment. They arrived on location to find a two-vehicle accident with no entrapment. Fluids were leaking from one vehicle, and units helped EMS with patient care. After the roadway was cleaned off and both vehicles were removed from the roadway, the department returned to service.
Just before 1 p.m., firefighters went out to Kruse Village, 1700 East Stone Street, for an alarm sounding. Nothing was showing from the exterior of the building, and upon entering, they found a resident had burnt bacon. The department reset the alarm and returned to the station.
Around 3 p.m., BFD members and Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department personnel received a report of a transportation incident with entrapment in the 10000 block of FM 1371 in Chappell Hill. The Chappell Hill department arrived on location and discovered no one was entrapped, so they cancelled Brenham’s response.
