DEADLINE THURSDAY TO REGISTER FOR MAY 3 ELECTIONS
Tomorrow (Thursday) is the last day to register to vote in the elections on May 3rd.
Voter registration applications must be delivered or postmarked to the Washington County Elections Office at the courthouse by 5 p.m. tomorrow.
According to Elections Administrator Carol Jackson, Washington County has 25,302 registered voters as of today (Wednesday).
Entities that are holding an election are the City of Brenham, Brenham ISD and City of Burton. There will also be an emergency services district election for voters inside the service territories of the Chappell Hill and Meyersville Volunteer Fire Departments.
All early voting will take place at the Washington County Courthouse Annex between Tuesday, April 22nd and Tuesday, April 29th, with hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The courthouse annex will not be open for early voting over the weekend.
Election Day polling places include the Washington County Expo Event Center, Friedens Church of Washington, Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department, Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library, Brenham VFW Hall and Blinn College Student Center. City of Burton residents will vote at Burton City Hall on Election Day.
