NEW FIRE STATION, REMODELING AT DEL SOL TOP BRENHAM BUILDING PERMITS FOR MARCH
The City of Brenham’s new fire station and renovations by a local manufacturer combined for over $10 million on the city’s building permit report for the month of March.

The fire station was the largest permit on the city's
building permit report for the month of March.
The largest individual permit for the month was taken out by the city for $6,197,085 for the construction of Fire Station No. 2 at 3007 James Nutt Boulevard. Work is contracted to Collier Construction and is expected to take a year to complete.
The second-largest permit went to Del Sol Food Company for $3,863,359. The company is performing interior remodeling at its facility at 3151 South Blue Bell Road for new bakery production. Work is led by ESI Group USA.
Another permit of note went to Medical Specialty Center, 605 Medical Courts, for $825,000 to replace a retaining wall.

Fourteen new homes were permitted in March for $2,365,300. Through the first quarter of the year, 32 homes have been permitted for $5,282,580.
The city issued 31 permits in March for $14,003,414. In comparison, March 2024 saw 26 permits for $9,434,841.
So far in 2025, the city has granted 83 permits worth $24,247,480. Through this time last year, the city had issued 77 permits for $14,370,093.
