LEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES PAIR OF ARRESTS

  

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrests of two men in separate cases that occurred prior to the weekend.

On Thursday, around 2:30pm, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division executed a felony warrant service at a residence located on County Road 430 in Dime Box.

24-year-old R. Manti Marzett of Dime Box was arrested on a third-degree felony charge for On-Line Solicitation of a Minor. 

He was then transported and booked into the Lee County Jail in Giddings.

According to Sheriff Garrett Durrenberger, the investigation was a joint effort that originated with the Decatur Police Department.

Then on Friday, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office executed a felony warrant service at a Residence on County Road 326 in Lexington.

Deputies had been at the residence eight days earlier for a domestic disturbance call, but the suspect fled the scene for several days.

This time, the suspect, 52-year-old Jason Schulze of Lexington, was arrested and taken to the Lee County Jail.

He was charged with first-degree felonies for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Aggravated Kidnapping.

Durrenberger said that their deputies and investigators, “did a tremendous job of conducting multiple follow-up investigations and carried out various methods to track down this suspect.”

The Sheriff’s Office added that no further information on either case can be released at this time.
