NINE SENTENCED IN 21ST DISTRICT COURT

  

Nine people pleaded guilty and were sentenced this week in 21st District Court before Judge Carson Campbell.

26-year-old Kirbie Rogers of Brenham, sentenced to 4 years in prison on each of six counts of Harassment by a Person in a Correctional Facility, a third degree felony.

27-year-old Zachary Charles Moerbe of Brenham, sentenced to 2 years in state jail for Assault of a Family Member Impeding Breath/Circulation, a third degree felony. 

38-year-old Dillon Keith Foerster of Brenham, sentenced to 6 months in state jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram, a state jail felony. 

62-year-old Terrell Duane Nickerson Sr. of Brenham, sentenced to 180 days in state jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram, a state jail felony.

52-year-old Ruben Dario Najera of Brenham, sentenced to 5 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Online Solicitation, a second degree felony.  Najera was also ordered to pay a $500 fine and $100 child abuse fee, perform 50 hours of community service, maintain no contact with the victim in the case, and abide by all sex offender conditions for 10 years.

52-year-old Jose Avel Perea Ferrel of Brenham, sentenced to 3 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram, a state jail felony.  Ferrel must also pay a $500 fine, perform 150 hours of community service, and complete drug offender and DWI education programs.  He was also convicted of Driving While Intoxicated, a Class B misdemeanor, in which he was given time served in the Washington County Jail.

31-year-old Daydrin Andre Hopes of Houston, sentenced to 5 years’ probation for two counts of Credit/Debit Card Abuse, a state jail felony.  Hopes was also fined $500 and ordered to pay $1,099 in restitution.  Additionally, he will have to perform 100 hours of community service. 

43-year-old Kevin Allen Kornegay of Hearne, sentenced to 2 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member and Criminal Mischief, both Class A misdemeanors.  He must also pay a $500 fine, complete 100 hours of community service, maintain no contact with the victim in the case, and not own or possess any guns or ammunition.

57-year-old Randa Newman Allie of Brenham, sentenced to 2 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Assault Causing Bodily Injury, a Class A misdemeanor.  Allie was also fined $500 and must complete 100 hours of community service.
