CAROLYN MILLER MARKING 20 YEARS WITH CITY OF BRENHAM
Brenham City Manager Carolyn Miller is celebrating 20 years with the City of Brenham.

a service recognition presented by the Brenham City
Council on Thursday in honor of her 20 years with
the City of Brenham.
The Brenham City Council observed Miller’s 20-year anniversary with the city at today’s (Thursday) council meeting, thanking her for her contributions and service.
Miller was first hired on May 16, 2005 as a staff accountant and has worked in several capacities with the city, including as director of finance, chief administrative officer, chief financial officer, assistant city manager and interim city manager. She was appointed to her current position in January 2022.
Brenham Mayor Atwood Kenjura says Miller has provided “strong fiscal leadership” and “empowers everyone around her to rise and do their best.”
Miller says she is grateful for the support she has received from those throughout the city, whether from the council or the community.

Thursday declaring May 11-17 as National Peace
Officers Memorial Week.
Miller’s recognition was the focal point of an otherwise brief meeting, with only one regular session item to vote on. The council approved a resolution to authorize the acceptance of public infrastructure improvements for the fourth phase of the Timber Oaks subdivision, southwest of the intersection of Old Mill Creek Road and Oak Tree Crossing Drive.
The city’s recommended infrastructure acceptance is right-of-way paving for a cul-de-sac. It was created after a transition from a “T” intersection that was originally designed to allow for street extension into additional phases of the subdivision, but property that was once planned for that was sold to Blinn College for a sports complex.
The public infrastructure improvements, valued at approximately $70,230, have already been constructed and inspected.
