BRENHAM MAIFEST SET TO HOST SENIOR CORONATION FRIDAY
The 135th Brenham Maifest is scheduled to hold the first of two royalty coronation ceremonies tonight (Friday).

The Senior Maifest Court of Queen Emerson “Emmie” Taylor Behrens and King Henry Latham Stopschinski will reign over the court of “Summer of a Lifetime” at 7 p.m. at Fireman’s Park.
The Texas Born Amusement Carnival opens at 5 p.m. Tonight’s entertainment will be The Czechaholics from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and the Brown Sugar Band from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m.
The Junior Coronation will be held tomorrow (Saturday) at 6:30 p.m. Queen Elizabeth Grace “Ellie” Alfred and King Everett Alexander McCarty Gonzales will reign over the court of “The Wonderful Things We Imagine”.
A clear bag policy is in effect for attendees at both coronation ceremonies.
The Maifest parade through downtown Brenham will start at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow. KWHI will broadcast the parade live beginning at 10:05 a.m. and will livestream it on Facebook, sponsored by Tres Chic Boutique.
After the parade, the festival grounds and carnival will open for music, dancing, beer tasting and games. Tomorrow’s music lineup will include The Oompahs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Das Ist Lustig from 2 to 5 p.m., Isaak Klaus and the Lederhosen Junkies from 5 to 8 p.m., and the David Reynolds Band from 9 p.m. to midnight.
