MAN CHARGED WITH ARSON IN GRIMES CO.
A multi-agency investigation into a structure fire earlier this month in Grimes County has resulted in an arrest.
32-year-old Jamison Coles was booked into jail on Friday on a charge of Arson, a second degree felony.
The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office says the charge stems from a structure fire that occurred on Thursday, May 8th at 3:45 a.m. off of FM 2 in Navasota.
Two victims escaped the fire and were taken to St. Joseph Hospital in College Station for minor injuries. They were treated and released the same day.
The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case with assistance from the fire marshal’s offices in Waller County and Montgomery County. Officials say the case is still active and that charges could be added or enhanced.
