ONE CRITICALLY WOUNDED IN NAVASOTA SHOOTING, POLICE SEARCHING FOR SUSPECTS

  

Navasota police are investigating a shooting Saturday night that sent one person to the hospital with critical injuries.

A release from the Navasota Police Department says officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 200 block of Fanthorp Street. 

At the scene, they found a large gathering at a residence and a male victim with gunshot wounds.  According to police, the suspect fled before they arrived.

The victim was treated by EMS and taken to St. Joseph Health Grimes Hospital in Navasota before being airlifted to a Houston-area hospital in critical but stable condition.

Navasota police say they have identified two suspects in connection to the shooting, but cannot release names or further details at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
