BRENHAM ISD TO HOST FREE SUMMER MEAL PROGRAM JUNE 2 – JULY 18

Brenham ISD will continue its summer meal program, providing Brenham-area children with free meals during the summer break.

From June 2nd to July 18th, free breakfasts and lunches will be available Monday through Friday to all children in the community who are 18 and under, regardless of income or school enrollment.

Meals will be served at Brenham Middle School and will be similar to those provided during the school year, consisting of a hot breakfast or lunch.  Meals will be available from 7 to 8:15 a.m. and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  No registration is needed.

The school will be closed on June 19th and July 4th.

All meals must be eaten on-site at the serving location, and cannot be taken off campus.

Child Nutrition Director Kasandra Davis says, “We know that good nutrition doesn’t stop being important when school ends.  This program helps ensure that every child in our community has access to healthy meals throughout the summer, supporting their physical and academic growth.”

Menus and additional details on the summer meal program can be found on the Summer Connections page at https://brenhamisd.net.  The page also has information on local enrichment opportunities like summer camps, learning programs and family-friendly events provided by Brenham ISD and community partners.
