TWO CRASH CALLS, FIRE ALARM TUESDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.
The Brenham Fire Department responded to three calls on Tuesday.
At 10:45 a.m., firefighters went out to a fire alarm at a home in the 1700 block of Gun and Rod Road. They determined the system had a malfunction, so they returned to service.
Shortly after 3 p.m., units were dispatched to a crash at South Austin Street and West Alamo Street. They checked the vehicles and provided traffic control before clearing the scene.
Another crash was called in a few minutes before 4 p.m. at Highway 36 North and Blue Bell Road. After providing traffic control and checking on the vehicles, BFD personnel returned to the station.

People in this town are driving distracted. I have had drivers in my lane several times a week running red lights several times a week just a few. Please put the phone away when you drive not that hard to do!
