2 BRENHAM CUBS SELECTED TO THE EAGLE’S ALL BRAZOS VALLEY BASKETBALL TEAMS
The Eagle released its All-Brazos Valley basketball teams on Tuesday, recognizing two standout Brenham Cubs among the region’s top performers. Brenham was one of only two schools to have multiple players earn spots on the prestigious list.
Senior guard Elijah Ferguson, the Offensive MVP and District 17-5A Co-MVP, was named to the All-Brazos Valley First Team. Ferguson, who has built an impressive resume during his time at Brenham, adds another accolade as he prepares to continue his basketball career at Blinn College.
Joining him is fellow senior guard Issac Powell, who earned a spot on the Second Team. Powell averaged 12.8 points and 2.5 steals per game last season, playing a key role in the Cubs’ backcourt alongside Ferguson.
