UNITY THEATRE ANNOUNCES LINEUP FOR 2025-26 SEASON
Unity Theatre in Brenham has revealed the entertainment lineup in store for its 2025-26 season.
From comedies and dramas to romance and mystery, Unity Theatre describes the year as “A Season of Storytelling – Filled with Laughter, Love and Intrigue”.
The Main Stage season kicks off with “The Foreigner”, a comedy by Larry Shue, running October 2 – 19. When a painfully shy Englishman finds himself pretending not to speak the language at a Georgia fishing lodge, he accidentally becomes the unwitting confidant to a cast of colorful locals.
Next will be a true-life wartime romance in Ken Ludwig’s “Dear Jack, Dear Louise”, a dramatic comedy running January 29 – February 15, 2026. The story is based on the playwright’s parents’ courtship through letters during World War II.
“The Stranger”, a classic mystery by Agatha Christie, runs April 23 – May 10, 2026. When a mysterious stranger turns up at a quiet English home, old secrets surface and nothing—and no one—is what they seem.
Closing the Main Stage season is “Over the River and Through the Woods”, a comedy by Joe DiPietro, running June 11 – 28, 2026. When a young man announces he’s moving away for a new job, his four Italian-American grandparents pull out every trick and guilt trip in the book to keep him close.
Unity’s Studio Series begins with “Address Unknown”, a drama by Kathrine Kressmann Taylor, running November 13 – 23. Set in the early 1930s, the play follows the correspondence between two friends—one Jewish, one German—as the world edges closer to war.
Rounding out the Studio Series is “Bloomsday”, a romantic, time-traveling drama by Steven Dietz, running March 12 – 22, 2026. In this tale set in Dublin, two people meet by chance—or fate—and revisit the decisions that shaped their lives, as they wonder what they would do if they could go back and choose differently.
