SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES ARRESTS FOR MARIJUANA, CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE POSSESSION

  

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reports three arrests between Tuesday and Wednesday.

Shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday, Deputy Martinez initiated a traffic stop in the 6500 block of FM 50 for no front license plate.  Upon making contact, the deputy detected an odor of marijuana, so a search of the vehicle was conducted.  The driver, 34-year-old Antonio Devon Dukes of Brenham, was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.  Dukes was charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz., Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.

Close to 8:30 p.m., Deputy Holton conducted a traffic stop in the 4500 block of Wonder Hill Road for a vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road.  Upon contact with the driver, the sheriff’s office said it detected an odor of marijuana, leading to a search of the vehicle.  The driver, 20-year-old Ruben Daylen Hagan of Brenham, was taken to the Washington County Jail and charged with No Driver’s License, Minor in Possession of Alcohol, Minor in Possession of Tobacco and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram.

Around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to a disturbance in the 9500 block of Whitecap Lane.  The suspect had already left the location, but was later found in the 4500 block of Bates Lane.  The sheriff’s office says 28-year-old Eric Gael Hernandez of Burton was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  Hernandez was transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked in for Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
